Why do surface coatings fail? They're fighting the wrong battle.
Moisture doesn't just attack concrete from outside — it's already inside. And that's where protection needs to work.
The Problem with Surface Solutions
Traditional coatings seal the outside but can't control moisture already within the concrete matrix. Deterioration continues beneath the "protected" surface. Coatings wear, crack, and need reapplication. The root cause remains untreated.
How Internal Moisture Control Works
Colloidal Nano Silica Hydrogel technology takes a fundamentally different approach:
Penetrates deep: Nano-sized particles (5-20nm) enter concrete pores (~50nm) and penetrate 100-150mm into the matrix
Reacts internally: Combines with calcium hydroxide to form stable C-S-H hardgel within the pore structure
Immobilises moisture: Free water is converted to hydrogel (immobile gel) — it can no longer transport contaminants
Becomes permanent: The CNSH reaction becomes part of the concrete itself — cannot be reversed, worn away, or removed
Why This Matters
Moisture is the carrier. It transports chlorides to reinforcing steel. It enables ASR and DEF reactions. It causes adhesive failures under floor coverings. It drives carbonation deeper into the concrete.
Stop moisture movement, and you stop the transport mechanism for virtually every deterioration process.
The Result
No visible film or barrier on surface — works entirely within the concrete
Cannot be abraded by traffic or surface grinding
Seals non-moving cracks up to 0.5mm
One application — never needs reapplication
Compatible with all subsequent coatings, repairs, and finishes
Protect from within. Control moisture at the source.
